NHS Drafted Plans to “Deny Care to Elderly and Offer End of Life Pathways” in a Pandemic
Following the 2016 pandemic planning exercise, the NHS reportedly drew up plans to deny care to the elderly to prevent hospitals being overwhelmed in the event of a pandemic – but the body has stressed it was not used during the actual Covid crisis.
Hmmm… Do you really believe they didn’t consider what they had planned in the exercise?
I read a story on the internet of a drug called midazolam being used in the UK nsg. homes. That drug is ‘scheduled’ here in the US, meaning there should be a paper trail of it’s procurement and endpoint use. There is no reason for that drug to be in a nsg. home—NONE. Possibly some exercises were trialed already.
Could it happen?
